Educational Diagram and Study Program

REVIEW, MODERNIZATION AND CLOSURE OF THE STUDY PROGRAM

The decision to review the Study Program is made by the Program Commission and approved by the Academic Council if necessary, but at least once for a full course of training on the Study program based on the analysis and assessment of monitoring results. The review of the Study Program may result in decisions to update the Study Program or close it. Mandatory review and modernization of the OP is conducted in case of:

– approval of standards of higher education in the specialty;
– amendments to the standards of higher education in the specialty;
– introduction of new forms of education.

The initiators of the review of the Study Program may be:

– Academic Council and Administration;
– Program Commission;
– director of the academic and methodological center;
– methodological council;
– internal commission for quality assurance.

The main indicators of Study Program review are:

– the results of assessment the content of Study Program in the context of recent research;
– consideration of the needs of society;
– results of the assessment of student’s workload, their achievements, and completion of Study Program;
– the results of expectations, needs and satisfaction of students concerning Study Program;
– the results of expectations, needs and satisfaction of stakeholders regarding Study Program;
– the results of the assessment of the learning environment and educational support services, as well as their compliance with the objectives of the program;
– improving the level of student competencies;
– increasing the number of mobility programs;
– availability of “continuing education” programs developed in cooperation with employers;
– availability of certified programs of additional education

The Study Program can be updated annually in terms of structural components of the Study Program, in particular, the content syllabuses of educational components, clerkship programs, changes in the workload, teaching methods, etc.

Study Program  is renewed by approving the appropriate changes before the beginning of the new academic year.

If the results of the review require a review of the Study Program, its educational components, the amount of ECTS credits, etc. to achieve the mission of the Institute and certain program learning outcomes, then the Study Program is subject to modernization.

Closure of the Study Program is carried out under the following circumstances :

– at the initiative of the Administration and/or the Academic Council of the Institute;
– at the initiative of the Institute Administration (at the request of the admissions office), in the case of the absence of applicants for this Study Program for 2 years;
– at the initiative of the administration and/or the Academic Council of the Institute at the request of the program commission or the internal commission on quality assurance,
– In the case of radical modernization (reformatting) of Study Program, in particular by merging or separating the existing SP in the Institute, the modernized Study Program is formed and approved as a new one, and for those educational programs that were implemented before the modernization (reformatting), admission of new students ends. After completing the training of applicants for higher education in the last year (year of study), the Study Program is removed from the list of Study Programs implemented at the Institute.

The decision to close the Study Program is made by the Academic Council of the Institute.
